Progressive HackNight explores the intersection of tech and social  justice. HackNight #52 is taking place on June 4 and will take a look at the unique technical challenges as well as long-standing political and social justice ones around the upcoming Census. The event will include discussion about how crucial the Census is to the distribution of  resources and redistricting, how community groups expect to reach hard  to count populations, and how the availability of an online option for  filling out the Census opens a pandora's box of digital security concerns.

Our co-director Greta Byrum will join Jonathan Chung (Civic Engagement Associate at MinKwon Center for Community Action) and Monica Vargas-Huertas (Northeast Deputy Director of NALEO Eduation Fund) as guest speakers at the HackNight.
